This is where the "black gold" – crude
oil – is won. While the demand for gasoline was low at the time,
kerosine was needed by the ton.
Tobacco Plantation (Ressource)
The tobacco harvested here needs to be taken to the
cigar factory. A profitable business, as good cigars are in great demand
Cattle farm (resource)
The cows in these rural businesses provide the milk that
can then be processed in the town dairy. Transporting milk from the farm
into town is a good source of income.
Sheep farm (resource)
Sheep farms can be found scattered all over the country.
They provide wool that has to be brought into the towns, to be made into
clothing in tailor's workshops.
Woodcutters' camp (resource)
This is where the felled tree trunks from the adjacent
forests are prepared for transport. The trunks need to be taken to the
sawmill and later the joiner's workshop to be used in the manufacture
of furniture.
